How the week works

Where a Riyadh Lesson Sits in the Week

The school week here runs Sunday to Thursday, so Thursday evening is the last school night and Sunday starts it again. Lessons are placed around that, not around a UK timetable.

Evenings, not afternoons

Most slots sit between 4pm and 9pm Arabia Standard Time. That leaves the school day alone and keeps homework off the midnight pile.

Friday and Saturday

The weekend falls on Friday and Saturday. A morning lesson on either day suits students who work better before the afternoon goes.

Shorter Ramadan days

School days compress during Ramadan. We move slots earlier in the evening for that month instead of cancelling the run and losing the habit.

What Families in the Kingdom Have Written

finding a dedicated GCSE tutor in riyadh can be challenging with local traffic. doing 1-on-1 online sessions saved time and delivered phenomenal results for my son's mock exams.

Why Riyadh Families Mostly Land on Online

Riyadh is a long city and a weekday evening has little room in it. The honest comparison is less about teaching than about what the travel costs you.

Riyadh questions

Questions Riyadh Parents Ask Before Booking

What time do lessons actually run in Riyadh?

Weekday slots sit between 4pm and 9pm Arabia Standard Time, Sunday through Thursday. Friday and Saturday mornings are open too. You keep the same slot weekly so it turns into a habit.

Is a Thursday evening lesson too close to the weekend?

It is the most requested slot of the week. Thursday is the last school night, so the week is done and nothing is due in the morning. Attention is usually better, not worse.

Do lessons pause during Ramadan?

No. School days shorten that month, so we move slots earlier in the evening and hold the weekly rhythm. Stopping for four weeks costs more than it saves, especially near mocks.

How long is one lesson?

Sixty minutes. That is long enough to teach a topic and mark an answer in one sitting. It is also short enough that a tired Year 11 student stays with it.

Can two children share a single lesson?

No. Every lesson is one to one, because the point of the hour is one student and their weak topics. Two children need two slots, which can sit back to back.

What happens if we have to miss a week?

Tell the tutor before the lesson and it moves. With no notice the slot is counted, because that hour was held for your child and nobody else could book it.

Are lessons recorded for revision later?

Yes. Every lesson is recorded and stays available. A student can return to the explanation in April instead of trusting notes written back in October.

How many lessons a week before the mocks?

One a week suits most of the year. In the term before mocks, families often add a second in the weakest subject, then drop back once the marks move.
